Fang Ting Ting

Tingting Fang, 房婷婷

Fang Ting Ting (b. 1994, Jiangsu, China) began studying painting as a child and later studied fine arts in China and Japan.

In 2019, she began setting up her gallery in Chengdu, which opened the following year. The gallery exhibited works by her and other artists while she continued painting there. This experience led her to think about how artists gain visibility and how art institutions operate. That same year, a house in rural Chengdu where she stored hundreds of early works collapsed after prolonged heavy rain, destroying most of them. During this period, she decided to put painting on hold and study abroad.

In 2022, she moved to the United Kingdom to study Arts Administration and Cultural Policy. In 2023, she launched the international exhibition series A Manifesto in Paris to provide opportunities for emerging and underrepresented artists. It has since expanded to other cities. She later studied Museum Studies in the United States.

In 2026, she refocused on her art and began preparing for a solo exhibition in Toronto, Canada.
