As an Artist

Fang Ting Ting works across painting, installation, photography, moving image and spatial art.

In her early paintings, she used line, brushwork and colour to structure her compositions, exploring the relationship between force, form and visual expression. Her subjects centred on life’s changes, decline and continuity, as she sought to preserve the vitality of things as they faded.

As her practice expanded into public art and installation, she began turning observations of everyday life into artistic actions. Drawing on personal experiences, human relationships and passing moments, she uses materials, form and space to engage with what she observes. Through her own perspective, she brings attention to overlooked things and their effects, exploring how they continue to exist in different forms.
